Calamity Day Announcement for Wednesday, January 22, 2025
Due to the forecast of extreme cold temperatures, we have made the decision to close school on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, for a calamity day. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities, and we want everyone to remain warm and safe during these dangerously low temperatures. We understand that unplanned school closures can present challenges, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the health and safety of our school community.
Stay warm, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Thursday.
HUGE shout out to the 5 Kinder Dads and to Mrs. Kresge, Mrs. Blair and Mr. Strickland, who worked so hard to clear the playground so kids could play outside today! We are so grateful that with no notice you dropped what you were doing and came to our aid! Kinder Dads Rock!
Due to the winter weather advisory in effect for our area beginning at 11:00 AM, we have made the difficult decision to close school today, Friday, January 10, 2025. Given our location in southern Montgomery County and the timing of this event, we anticipate potential issues with afternoon dismissal. The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate these challenging conditions.
Kinder Families - Tonight's "Get Air" night benefits Mark Twain. As our sibling school, they kindly invited us. The Kinder Get Air night is on 1/23/25. We will work to communicate so this doesn't happen again.

On Tuesday, November 26th, Mrs. Abshear's 3rd Grade class at Kinder Intermediate School kicked off the holiday season with a Thanksgiving meal. The students, staff, and volunteers talked about what they were thankful for during the celebration.

Don't Forget Tomorrow 12/4 is Candy Cane Kindness Day. Wear Red and White and we will all have Candy Canes and give compliments! Tomorrow is also Holiday Shop day for Glenn, Abshear, Hobbs, Baughman, DeMott, and Brown/Pelphrey's homeroom. Items are $2, $4, and $6
Kinder Connector 12/2/2024 - - Note that this week we have Holiday Shop. Wednesday 12/4/24 - is Candy Cane Kindness Day - wear red and white if you want. We provide the Candy Canes, your Students provide each other with the sincere kind compliments. Friday is wear Red and Green and Thank the Kinder Support Staff for all they do.
What an amazing performance by our talented 5th graders at their recent concert! A huge thank you to the students and teachers who put in the hard work to make this event a success. Your dedication truly shines on stage!
🦃 Thanksgiving Break is almost here! Miamisburg students and staff will be off from Wednesday, November 27th, through Friday, November 29th. Enjoy this time with family and friends, and return well-fed and recharged to finish the semester! See you on Monday!
