Miamisburg City Schools' Kinder Intermediate Principal Rebecca Huber has announced she will be leaving the district at the end of the school year to pursue another opportunity. Beginning next school year (2025–2026), Mrs. Huber will be joining the Yellow Springs community as the principal of Mills Lawn Elementary.
Huber has dedicated the past six years to serving the MCS community, spending two years as the principal of Mound Intermediate School before transitioning to lead Kinder Intermediate. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in fostering a supportive and innovative educational environment, championing both student and staff development.
“While I’m excited for what’s ahead, I also carry a deep sense of gratitude for this team and everything we’ve navigated together. What we’ve built — especially through challenge and change — has shaped me as a leader and as a person,” said Mrs. Huber, “ I am so proud of the heart, humor, and resilience that define Miamisburg, and I will carry that spirit with me wherever I go.”
"Rebecca's dedication to education is a valuable asset to the educational community as a whole," said Superintendent Dr. Laura Blessing. "We wish her the very best in her next adventure!"
The principal position will be posted in the coming weeks to begin the search for Kinder Intermediate's next leader.

The Miamisburg High School Exercise Science program had a standout showing at the Valley Tech Prep Showcase held at Sinclair Community College. With *seven total teams*—*three junior and four senior*—Miamisburg students demonstrated impressive research, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Each team selected a theory or problem related to **exercise, fitness, or nutrition**, which they were challenged to either prove or dismiss using scientific research and practical application.
Out of the seven Miamisburg teams:
- **Four teams** earned **1st place** in their respective groups
- **Three teams** were named **runners-up**, placing 2nd in their groups
This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, as well as the strength of the Exercise Science program. Congratulations to all who participated—you represented Miamisburg with excellence!
