Say Hello to Parent-Teacher Chat!!!
From work to home to school, our phones are a key tool to how we each navigate and communicate throughout the day. The custom-built Miamisburg City Schools app makes it easy to stay up to date with district news and events. Now, Miamisburg City Schools is making it easier to stay in touch with teachers and class information from that same app. Using the Miamisburg City Schools app you can easily switch from district and school information to Rooms where you can see your student's classes and engage directly with teachers. Download the Burg Schools app by going to the app store on your phone.
To access Rooms, you will need to create a login and password. Beginning in the afternoon of Friday, September 2nd, email invites will be sent to parents/guardians with instructions on how to create an account that will connect them to their child allowing them to view his/her classes. If an email invite is not received by Friday, September 9th please contact your child’s teacher. The teacher will be able to download a guardian invite.
Elementary level- contact child’s homeroom teacher
Middle school level- contact child’s first period teacher
High school level- contact child’s first period teacher
MMS Daily Announcements 9/1/22
- Any students interested in 6th 7th and 8th grade student council must fill out and submit ONLINE GOOGLE FORM by Monday, September 26thl. This form was sent to student gmail accounts. All 6th and 7th grade students will be board members and do not need to run. 8th grade students will need to run for officer positions. Students who do not get an officer position will participate as Senators. 8th Grade Election Day will be Friday September 30th.
-MMS Help Center starts 9/7 from 3 to 4pm. This is an opportunity to work on homework and receive tutoring help. Transportation is not provided. Students will report to the library after school.
-The MMS Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle, otherwise known as FCA, will have its first meeting Wednesday, September 7th at 7:00 AM in the cafeteria. Students who attend this before school Christian club will have donuts, a short Bible lesson and a group game. Anyone interested in FCA can talk to their Social Studies teacher or grade level principal for information.
-The fall fundraiser kicked off on Friday, August 19th and ends on September 6th. Orders with money are due no later than September 13th. The delivery date for items will be October 6, 3:30-5:30 at MMS. If a student didn’t receive a fundraiser packet, please check with the main office. Free online parenting classes are available to all Montgomery County parents at triplep-parenting.com/montgomery. Classes normally $80 are free due to Montgomery County ADAMHS funding. Parents register for ages 0-12 or 13+ & receive 8 modules to work through at their own pace.
