Congratulations to Bear Elementary staff and students! The building was awarded Platinum status by the Montgomery County ESC for Excellence in Prevention. This award is given to schools that are implementing best practice prevention services and strategies in order to create healthy, drug-free environments that promote optimal mental health for students, parents, teachers and staff in the school community.
Personalized Learning Day Scheduled for November 7, 2023
As a reminder, Miamisburg City School District students will participate in a personalized learning day on November 7, 2023. Our buildings will be closed that day to students to serve as polling locations. During this time, district staff will participate in professional development activities on-site to expand their educational knowledge and training.
Personalized learning is an educational approach that customizes instruction to meet the distinct needs, interests and capabilities of individual students. It involves a variety of instructional methods, technology and curriculum to create a tailored learning experience.

Thank you to everyone that made our first Bear Elementary Color Run a huge success! The Color Run was the culminating event to our PTO Fall Fundraiser in which we raised over $5000 to support projects and activities for Bear students and families. The kids and staff had an absolute blast! Group pictures will be shared out soon.

The MHS Viking STEM Club is hosting a Halloween-themed STEM Carnival on 10/28 from 1-3pm in the Commons. MHS Students & Staff as well as community organizations will be hosting booths to help share different STEM topics with elementary & middle school students in our community.
MHS Student Government is hosting a Trunk or Treat at MHS Saturday, October 28th from 1:00PM -3:00PM. Don't miss it! 🎃

Grade 4 Families: We ask that Grade 4 students not wear PJs on Tuesday since they are traveling to the Schuster Center for the Black Violin performance. Grade 4 students also need to bring a packed lunch for Tuesday unless they have ordered one from the cafeteria.
