Miamisburg City Schools is excited to announce the appointment of Nila Taylor Getter to the Board of Education. Mrs. Getter will fill the vacancy of former board member, Tim Lewis. Mr. Lewis, who generously gave his time to serve on the Miamisburg Board of Education for the last 3 years, resigned effective April 7, 2023.
Mrs. Getter is a lifelong resident of the Dayton area and a proud graduate of Miamisburg High School. Nila is a registered nurse and is employed by Kettering Health Network. She is an active member of the community, volunteering with numerous organizations and causes throughout her life. Her experience and enthusiasm for public education made her an ideal candidate for this role. In addition to her volunteering experience, she also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Miami University and a Master’s degree in Nursing from Andrews University.
The district is looking forward to Mrs. Getter’s leadership on the board.
Nila was sworn in today (April 25, 2023) by Miamisburg Mayor Michelle Collins alongside her daughter, Elisabeth Middleton.

Hey, Vikings! Tomorrow's the big day - it's time to show off your hard work and get RED-y for testing! To celebrate, wear something red to school tomorrow to feel comfortable and confident on test day. Let's make testing a chance to come together and show our unity in red!
