Student Resiliency Program Partnership

The Miamisburg City School District is proud to partner with Dayton Children’s Hospital to offer student mental health support through the new Student Resiliency Program. This partnership will provide resiliency coordinators in five school buildings to provide resiliency development and care coordination for students and families who could benefit from these services.

These resiliency coordinators will be available at Jane Chance Elementary School, Kinder Elementary School, Bauer Elementary School, Miamisburg Middle School, and Miamisburg High School during regular hours to provide support for issues such as anxiety, stress management, depression, bullying prevention and conflict resolution. This team will coordinate with faculty and staff to ensure all students receive the necessary care and support they need. Through educational resources and on-site care, this program will focus on seven areas of student development: competence, confidence, connection, character, contribution, coping and control in order to prepare students for overcoming challenges.

Funding for the program comes from the Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) of Montgomery County and the Robert H. Reakirt Charitable Trust.
