Communication between Medlar View and STAR Musketeer Families
Quality communication is essential to the overall success of the 2022-2023 school year. As an update, please review the following information related to communication between Medlar View Faculty and Staff and STAR Musketeer Families.
The Miamisburg City Schools new website has officially set sail. The website provides information related to all Departments and Schools within our District. On the Medlar View (MV) page the News and Live Feed sections will replace the School Story features of DoJo. Also on the MV pages are Buttons linked directly to information on the following topics: the Handbook, Preschool, PTO, Dining (Nutrition Services), Parent Resources, Progress Book, Supply Lists and a Staff Directory. In addition, the Events section on the MV page provides a day-to-day review of events and activities taking place along with the letter day.
By September 1, 2022, text, email and voice call features will transition to a company called Apptegy. Apptegy is the company that runs the website and mobile app for the district.
The Miamisburg Schools Mobile App (BurgSchools) may now be downloaded on the Apple or Android App Stores. For search purposes, please use Miamisburg City Schools. Once downloaded, the BurgSchools’ app will provide push notifications and updated information to families from Medlar View and the Miamisburg City School District to include athletics and departments such as Nutrition Services Breakfast/Lunch Menus) and Transportation.
Within the mobile app is a unified communication and integrated messaging tool called Rooms. Rooms will be the sole communication tool used this year across the district between families and teachers. Rooms will be replacing the communication features of Class DoJo.
As always, communication may take place using email and/or phone calls. Email addresses for Medlar View Faculty and Staff follow a pattern. This pattern is as follows: staff first name initial followed by last name with the ending @miamisburg.k12.oh.us. For example the email address for Mrs. Susan Woods is (swoods@miamisburg.k12.oh.us). The Medlar View School phone number and fax is as follows: Medlar View phone number is 1-937-865-5257 and the fax number is 1-937-865-5295.
