Blood Drive

Student government will be hosting a “Unity in the Community” blood drive on Friday, November

17th in the Aux gym. Unity in the Community is a partnership between Miamisburg and West
Carrollton High Schools for hosting blood drives and supporting local needs in the community. It  is designed to make everyone a winner and build unity by committing to a common
cause.

Our sponsors, Universal 1 Credit Union and Solvita (Formerly Community Blood Center), have asked both schools to host a blood drive. Once each high school blood drive is complete, Universal 1 Credit Union will award each school $500. MHS and West Carrollton HS have once again agreed to combine their award and donate $1000 to a charity of choice.

MHS will be participating in the area’s Red Cord program.  High school students can earn a red cord to wear at their high school graduation. Students attempting to donate blood at least three times in their high school career will earn the cord. December 20, 2023 is the cut off date for 2024 graduates.

All students ages 16 and older are encouraged to participate.

  •  Students who are 16 years old must have a parent/guardian permission slip filled out. Permission slips will be available on each Class Google classroom and in the Student Services Office. This must be completed and brought to your appointment on the 17th along with your ID.
  • Students 17 and older just need to bring an ID at the time of donation.

You can sign up to donate online now through November 9th this link.  Email Mrs. Brockert at jbrockert@miamisburg.k12.oh.us  or Mrs. King at mking@miamisburg.k12.oh.us  with questions or students can stop by room 415.
