With Stone Lab Research Assistants, students conducted Lake Erie field study activities including collecting dissolved oxygen levels, plankton samples, measuring turbidity levels, and trawling for fish. In addition, students learned the importance of protecting Lake Erie from invasive species and cultural eutrophication. This was an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the importance of citizen science.
