Pinwheels

April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month.  MHS Student Government will be raising money and awareness for this cause.

All students and staff will have the opportunity to purchase a $5 pinwheel.  Pinwheels will be labeled with the sponsor's name and  planted in front of the school. The blue and silver pinwheels are the symbol for the campaign to Prevent Child Abuse.  They  are a reminder of the happy childhoods and bright futures that all children deserve, and will help educate communities about the importance of supporting children and families.

Student government members will come to flex periods to collect money and names of sponsors.   All donations will be given to Care House. Care House is a children's advocacy center located in Dayton, Ohio that helps to aid victims and their families of child abuse.
