The Miamisburg–MVCTC FFA Chapter launched a school garden last year at the high school, with work beginning on May 26, 2025. Throughout the summer, FFA members dedicated their time to caring for the garden by watering, weeding, and maintaining the plants.
The garden included a variety of vegetables and flowers grown for class projects and student sales. After a summer of upkeep, the garden has been cleared and prepared to receive new seeds for the next growing cycle.
While the garden is currently resting during the winter months, students are already looking ahead with excitement to planting again in the spring and continuing the project’s growth.
This project highlighted teamwork among FFA members while providing a hands-on learning experience about how a garden operates. The garden also served as a point of interest for the entire school, giving students—both inside and outside of FFA—the opportunity to learn more about the chapter and look forward to watching the garden grow.
FFA member Jacob Morgan, who spent part of his summer tending the garden, shared his experience: “It was a fun experience. The team would show up and work together to clean the garden, water the plants, and take care of their needs.”
