Jack Pinto in gray shirt and cross necklace

Miamisburg High School Sophomore, Jack Pinto, has been selected to perform in the OMEA All-State Choir on Friday, January 30th at 8pm. Jack, an honor student, is a member of the MHS Symphonic Choir (MHS's top choral ensemble), and has performed in various MHS theatre productions, most recently starring as Harry Bright in Mamma Mia! and Scuttle in The Little Mermaid

Acceptance into the OMEA All-State Choir is very competitive and a high honor. Jack, as a Freshman, recorded a memorized Class-A vocal solo (in Italian!) and submitted his audition back in May of 2025. He is one of approximately 160 high school choir students across the state of Ohio who were selected. He will work with world-class composer and music educator Rollo Dilworth, who currently serves as a professor and chair of the Music Education and Music Therapy Department at Temple University in Pennsylvania.

The 2026 OMEA Professional Development Conference (PDC) will be held in Columbus, from January 29-31, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and nearby hotel properties. The OMEA PDC is the third largest music conference in the United States with sessions presented by nationally recognized master teachers demonstrating research-based, best practices in the field of music education and technology. In addition, over 30 performing ensembles will present concerts showcasing the talents of Ohio’s music students.
