MVCTC BPA Students Qualify for National Leadership Conference

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) proudly announces that 18 of its Business Professional of America (BPA) students have secured spots to compete at the BPA National Leadership Conference, scheduled for May 10-14, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. These students have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in their respective fields, earning recognition at both regional and state levels. The Miamisburg High School students are:

  • Elijah Rose, a senior in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity from Miamisburg, 2nd place in Network Administration Using Cisco.

  • Prabhlean Singh, a senior in Computer Coding & Web Applications from Miamisburg, 3rd place in Python Programming.

Class of 2024 Seniors Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) inducted 148 seniors into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on March 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the MVCTC Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC).

The induction into NTHS signified academic excellence and a commitment to professionalism, dedication, and leadership within their chosen career-technical fields. In addition to recognizing student achievement, the ceremony allowed students to express gratitude to the educators who have played a significant role in their success. Each student had the privilege of nominating two Honored Educators—one from MVCTC and one from their Partner School—who have substantially contributed to their overall growth and development.

To qualify for induction into the NTHS, seniors must meet stringent criteria, including:

  • Attendance at MVCTC for three consecutive semesters

  • Attainment of a minimum GPA of 3.75

  • Limited total absence hours, not exceeding 50.32 hours during both junior and
    senior years combined

  • Receipt of overall positive teacher recommendations
