The  Miamisburg Schools September District Student of the Month is Miamisburg High School senior, Ava Stevens. Ava was nominated by MHS Assistant Principal Jeremy Saylor. Mr. Saylor said "Miamisburg High School is proud to select AVA STEVENS as the September Student of the Month.

Ava is a servant student leader in the way that she interacts with the staff and students at MHS. She is an active participant in our school community and embodies what it means to have a Sense of Belonging that other students should aspire to hold. Ava is involved in athletics as a varsity captain of the Vikings volleyball team. She enjoys passing on her love of the game by coaching in the Miamisburg youth league. Ava is also a member of the Principal Advisory Council, Media Arts Tech Program and a Freshman Mentor. She is currently helping school administrators to create and implement a restorative practices peer group at Miamisburg High School. Ava demonstrates our BURG Behavior in her daily interactions with others and in mentoring others to follow her lead.

Ava is involved with Young Life, a Christ-centered ministry that helps young people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and serve Him. She is constantly learning and growing in her faith. Ava Stevens loves reading and hiking with friends. She plans to attend a 4 year college, majoring in criminology-sociology.

It is with great pride that we celebrate AVA STEVENS as the Miamisburg High School Student of the Month for September.

Her personal strengths, and positive impact on the school community make her a model student and deserving of this recognition."

Congratulations Ava!
