Terra Spears

Miamisburg City School District is pleased to announce that Terra Spears has been recommended for board approval as the new Assistant Principal at Miamisburg High School. Spears was selected from a group of highly qualified candidates. She took part in an extensive interview process that included students and staff.

Spears has had a successful career in public education for almost 25 years. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Principal of Westerville South High School, where she was responsible for teacher evaluations, discipline, PSAT, SAT and OST testing, as well as many other duties. Additionally, her career has included teaching middle school social studies and language arts classes as well as developing and teaching leadership classes, training and preparing students to explore and develop their leadership skills.

“I am thrilled to join the Miamisburg City School District,” remarked Spears. “I am eager to continue making meaningful connections with students and staff and fostering a sense of safety and belonging at MHS.”

Spears will assume her role in July following the resignation of Zack Cline.

“Terra brings an impressive educational background to Miamisburg,” said Miamisburg City Schools Superintendent Dr. Laura Blessing. “We are looking forward to having her join us, as she will, undoubtedly, have a positive impact on our school community.”
