IMPORTANT BUILDING INFORMATION 

  • Your student’s middle school fees are $35.00.  If your child takes French as an 8th grader there is an additional $30.00 fee. School fees can be paid online using www.payschoolscentral.com, send in a check made out to MMS or cash. A receipt will be sent home with the student. 
  • If you are participating in Blessing in a Bag you’ll get your blessings in a bag in each grade level wing near the stairwell on the first floor in the morning.  Bags should be stored in your locker during the day and then kept in the bag on the ride home. 
  • As a reminder Breakfast is available in each grade level wing and 6th grade in the cafeteria.   Students should be getting their breakfast on the way to their classrooms to ensure they are not tardy to class. 
  • Did you know you can submit your own pictures for consideration to be used in the yearbook? Download the app replayit on your phone or computer and submit your photos of sports, vacation, extracurricular activities, selfies, etc to Miamisburg Middle School! This is an excellent way to make sure you are in the yearbook.

  • Your child’s guidance counselor is organized by their last name. Feel free to contact them if you have questions about your child’s schedule.   
  • Attention all 8th grade parents: College Promise Scholarship Applications are available from Mrs. McElroy. The selected students, upon the successful completion of high school and meeting the entrance requirements of the partner college or university, are awarded scholarships that allow them to attend college at little to no cost to them or their families. Partner colleges and universities include: Central State University, Denison University, Kettering College, Miami University, Miami University Regionals, Sinclair Community College, the University of Dayton, Wittenberg University, Wright State University, and Xavier University.  Qualifications include:
    • *Be currently enrolled in school as an eighth grader 
    • *Demonstrate financial need (same guideline as free and reduced lunch)
    • Attend school regularly
    • *Earned satisfactory grades and assessment scores
    • *Be committed to doing their best
    • *Stay Alcohol, Tobacco, Drug, and Crime Free
    • *Participate in school co-curricular or extra-curricular activities and/or community/faith based service activities
    • *Practice good citizenship

CLUBS / EXTRACURRICULAR

  • Team 8 will be having a bake sale during lunch starting November 11.  Items will range in cost from fifty cents to two dollars. Proceeds will go toward purchasing gifts for the homeless and less fortunate in the Dayton area. 
  • There will be a yearbook club meeting Wed. Nov 13th after school in room 331, Mrs. Derr’s room. 
  • Students needing after school academic help can stop in the MMS Library and attend our Help Center.  Students will have access to computers and the internet as well as teacher and high school student assistance.  Students should bring work to work on during this time. Help Center is open every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00pm.
  • Student council canned food drive begins October 22nd.  Barrels will be delivered on Tuesday, October 22nd and picked up Thursday, December 12.  
  • Student council will be selling gourmet suckers on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Suckers cost $1.00 and come in a variety of sweet and sour flavors. Suckers can not be brought out of the cafeteria unless it is in a wrapper and can not be eaten in class without teacher permission or on the bus.

If you have any questions please see Mrs. Derr in room 331.
