Building Relationships to Increase Diversity & Gain Educational Successes

The BRIDGES Community Council is a group of teachers, administrators, parents and community members devoted to the vision of a strong, culturally rich community that sees diversity as a strength to be celebrated and a goal to be pursued. The group meets four times a year and welcomes any interested individuals to participate.

 Mission Statement:
Our mission is to create a community where each person feels safe and valued, where cultural differences are accepted, appreciated and understood. Through dialogue and process of learning and working together, we will celebrate the differences that make us a culturally rich community.

 Meeting dates for the 2009-10 school year:

  • September 16, 2009
  • November 11, 2009
  • February 3, 2010
  • April 21, 2010

Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the Helen Reed Media Center at Miamisburg High School.
