We are in a challenging and exciting time in educational curriculum.  With the adoption of Common Core Standards in both Language Arts and Math, along with newly revised Ohio standards in Social Studies and Science, much is changing.  The Curriculum Department is working diligently to provide leadership to our teachers as they work together to create pacing guides, additional resources, and common assessments to accompany the new learning standards from PreK through 12th grade.

Even with this extensive project occurring, the most  important task for our staff is to focus on the students sitting in front of them each day and to ensure that every child receives an outstanding education. The district curriculum is designed to promote student growth at all levels, while at the same time meeting individual needs of our students.  This includes both those who need more challenges and those who need extra support.

Advanced Placement, Honors Courses and Accelerated Classes provide a range of options to meet the needs of our high ability students.  Our Special Education Department, District RTI Teams, and several on-line learning options ensure that our students who need more time or special instructional techniques also make growth each and every year.

Working together, Teachers, Principals, the Board of Education, the Administrative Team, Parents, and Students, are making a difference in the future of our community.
